About MFC
Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) is composed of a particleboard (chipboard) core, which is a wood-based product made by bonding together wood chips, sawdust, or shavings with a synthetic resin. This core is then faced with a decorative surface layer of melamine resin-impregnated paper, which is fused to the chipboard under high pressure and heat. This process forms a hard, protective layer.
MFC is a cost-effective and versatile material that balances appearance, functionality, and durability. Its resistance to scratches, heat, and moisture, along with its low maintenance needs, make it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial spaces.
